OAHU - Systems & Programming Application Analyst
Description

Primarily responsible for supporting applications and users in ABC Stores.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in all phases of project development life cycle
  • Provide technical expertise and assistance in designing, testing and developing applications
  • Investigate user problems and needs, identify their source, and determine possible solution
  • Create functional design documents and other relevant documents for end users
  • Provide on-call coverage support as directed by the manager
  • Able to work flexible hours to meet departmental deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and EDI processes is highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience creating reports using reporting tools such as Microsoft SSRS, Showcase Query, and Cognos is highly desirable
  • Able to develop and run SQL scripts and queries for ad-hoc reporting as requested
  • Advanced level using of Microsoft applications, especially Word and Excel
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently, and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Must have 2-4 years hands-on experience supporting business applications in a retail environment
  • Practical experience with point-of-sale, inventory management, item management, supply chain management, financial and other retail focused systems is highly desirable
  • Practical experience with human resource, payroll and staff scheduling also highly desirable
